Barrel Select is attempting to offer you, Ontario's wine connoisseurs, alternative options in your pursuit of fine wine. We are, by definition, agents for the specific wineries with which we have relationships and agreements. Our licence with the AGCO (formerly the LLBO) permits us to market wines directly to individuals because the wine is brought through the LCBO. This allows us to bring you our wines directly, availability limited only by the small amounts we get. None of our wines are retailed through the Liquor Store, or any of the LCBO's catalogues, so while it may mean additional marketing efforts on our part, we guarantee the exclusivity of your selection.
Buying Wine From an Agent Directly
If you are new to purchasing wine in Ontario through a wine agency, you should be familiar with several important procedural matters. Not all of our wines are available immediately: some products must be shipped from our climate controlled warehouse in California. This process, when everything goes well, takes about 6-8 weeks. You will be notified if this is the case with the wine you ordered.
Ordering Policy
BARREL SELECT will accept your personal check as payment for your order. We also accept VISA and MasterCard, and of course, CASH.
All purchases must be paid in full upon receipt. Returned cheques will be subject to a $15 processing fee. Returns will not be accepted after 7 days, and only if returned in saleable condition (corked wines excepted). All returns are for company credit – no refunds, and are subject to a restocking fee. Delivery within the GTA can typically be arranged within one week of product availability. RUSH orders may be accommodated for an addition fee. Prices and availability of all items offered are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to change prices at any time and to limit quantities. We attempt to be as accurate as possible, but BARREL SELECT is not responsible for typographical errors.
